What’s wrong with this picture?

A friend has moved to Beijing for the spring semester and last week rented an apartment.

It’s not every day you ask someone if they’d mind if you’d take a picture of her bathroom.

But I just couldn’t pass this up.

I. LOVE. IT.

Yes, her bathroom has a glass window allowing an unobstructed view of the toilet, the area to shower, and the sink.

There is so much in life that is awful, depressing, out of our control. Yet, there is whimsy to be found.

When it is found, capture it. We need to collect small reminders for those less whimsical days (oh, let’s be honest, or moments within even good days). This one is going in my mental bank.

I asked what’s wrong with this photo. My answer: nothing. The problem would have been not taking the time to notice.

Where have you seen whimsy this week?

  1. Oh that’s a GOOD one! Classic! :D Yup, put that one in the Funny Bank for future withdrawal, lol.

I’ve been lurking… Just not commenting much! But I have been checking in with how things are going.

Here’s a hug from Denver and hope things are going well for you, too. :)

  2. I have never seen a bathroom door in a home in China that did NOT have a window in it — of some kind. It remains one of the great mysteries of life there.

  3. A room with a view?

  4. Windows in bathrooms always gave me pause. If I were them, I would invest in blinds :)

  5. Not just a window – a door! I’m with Loren on the blinds, maybe curtains. And a good lock.

  6. Can’t say I’d be comfortable with that situation!!

Hey, I don’t have your email…I wanted to let you know that you can use that picture of my feet in the water, no problem. Just take it right from my website, or email me (michellederusha1@gmail.com) and I will send it to you!

  7. Hahahahahahahaha!! I LOVE this picture. It’s like the windows in bathrooms at the top of the door on Pakistani trains – only this one is way better! Thank you for a great laugh! Also I appreciate hearing about your journey into the question mark of life. I’ll look forward to following how God surprises you.
