I love the liturgical name for this time of year: ordinary time.
In the rearview mirror we see Lent, Easter and Pentecost. In the far distance we know Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany is coming. But now, now are the ordinary days. The flood rains (please Lord) seem to have ended and the green is lush and calming.
This will be the only post for the week because I’m working on a special three part series next week and have a “Beyond the Surface” newsletter coming out later this week.
I love this time of year. But I’m related to a people who become cranky with the sun, so I know not everyone likes what I call “atmospheric hugs.” Whether you perk up or wilt with the sun, may these ordinary days remind you time is passing. Enjoy the beauty of the ordinary.
What kind of weather perks you up? Are you different from other people in your family?
I LOVE the SUN!
I think ordinary is where extraordinary is born. It is where if we stay aware we can turn the ordinary moments into awesome memories. Everyday holds the potential to blow up into something special. We should be ready to recognize those special moments.
When I was young, I loved excitement in my days. Now I just want ordinary days!!!! There is just something so comforting in ordinary days!!! :^) patsy
