I heard earlier this week that a piece I’d written would be published this Saturday in SheLoves Magazine. This is kind of a big deal in bloggy world, but it meant an interruption to my 31 Reminders from Eden series. You’d think after all of my years in China I’d be all zen and go with the flow when plans change. Turns out I still like my plans :).
Will interruptions be a part of Eden Regained? I imagine they will. The difference will be in our reactions to them won’t be sinful. Ever. Not just on days when our tanks are full. Every single interruption will be greeted by our best response. Every. Single. Interruption.
I cannot wait!
We”ll still get 31 Reminders from Eden, they’ll just bleed a little bit into November.
If you’re here from SheLoves Magazine. Welcome! We’re glad you’re here and have fun poking around :)

What’s your name?” I asked the six-year-old bundle of energy, aka my partner for the morning. We were on an outing to the Museum of Nature and Science and most of the elementary school kids had been partnered two of them to one of the high school volunteers.
All but my partner. He’d been sent to the back of the line several times prior to our acquaintance. I thought I’d heard his name, but it was unusual and I wanted to be sure.
“Jesus.”
Jesus. Not Je-sus as in Spanish.
Jesus.
Curious I followed up, “What’s your middle name?”
“Lamb.”
Of course.
“What’s your last name?” The trinity of questions, I know.
“Don’t have one.”
How did I not see that one coming? I was going to spend my morning with Jesus. Jesus Lamb to be exact.
Continue reading and walk the thin line between reverent and irreverent with me.

I loved that piece so much. I want to write like you when I grow up, Amy!
Oh Emily, isn’t jealousy (you didn’t use that word, stick with me) and funny thing. I read your writing and know that God is using you and you’re going to be published and I”m thrilled for you and wish I could be funny like you. So, the jealous part … is ME. Ugh. Sigh. and I do love you Emily!
I want to write like you too! If I ever grow up!
Aim higher :). HAHAHAH
