It was such an Amy gift. Not that I’m known from needing to have a hot beverage with me at all times. I’m not. But this Curly Girl cup was, ironically, the perfect gift for me. The front says “Life is tough. I recommend getting a manicure and a really cute helmet.” But it is the back tag line that I have become known for embracing.
Live imperfectly with great delight! Don’t you just smile at the thought.
This week I was cc’ed on a message in which a co-worker is trying to arrange her fall travel schedule and she referenced me, the mug, and this line. It’s not that I’ve said it so often that makes this catchy, though repetition doesn’t hurt. It’s that she knows I believe it. I really do.
But sadly, not everyone does. Today I’m over at Mary DeMuth’s sharing three questions that will help you know if you are a perfectionist or an excellentist. (And yes, a big clue might be in your reaction to ‘excellentist.’) Pop on over and share your thoughts.

You might be familiar with Mary’s name because she
a. is a well-known author
b. invited me to be a part of her amazing Everything book launch team and the trailer came out last week. Please watch, but don’t blink near the middle, if you do, you might miss me.
(if you got this in an email and want to see the trailer, click the Everything book launch video)

Awesome! Didn’t blink! :)
That is wonderful! Love that you filmed your segment on the Great Wall. :) Love that I can say, “I’ve been there!”
I’m looking forward to reading the book.
Hope you have a splendid weekend!
Love that you can say we were there on the same day!
“Live Imperfectly…” I’ll work on that this week. (And, I truly believe I’m an excellentist with perfectionistic tendencies.)
Isn’t that a great line!
